The second annual Colloquium in Honour of Professor Josef Macůrek is a part of a project supported by the International Visegrad Fund. The organising institution, the Department of History at MU, invited other universities to participate. The aim of the project is to research the role of foreigners in Central and Eastern European societies. Discussed will be specific problems of societal integration, e.g., stereotypes, role of the confession/language/ethnicity, inter-cultural exchange or attitudes of local elites. The outputs of the project will be the international scientific conference held in Brno, a series of online public lectures, and scientific publication.
